The CAF is a group of men and women, from all walks of life, dedicated to the preservation of American air power and history of World War II aviation. There are currently over 9,000 CAF members in 27 states and three countries. Air Group One is the San Diego Wing of the CAF. They are headquartered at their "Military Flying Museum" located on Gillespie Field at 1905 North Marshall, Hangar #6 in El Cajon, California. Members work together to share the history of this era, to bring a deeper understanding of the sacrifices men and women made to secure the freedoms we enjoy today. They also work to preserve, restore and maintain World War II era aircraft... to "Keep 'Em Flying." Air Group One proudly presents its Wings Over Gillespie Air Show each year at Gillespie Field. Proceeds from the show benefit the museum. |
